Note: As we waved good bye to Taipei, we begin our new adventures in Puli. Jason reports first with our experiences with our local partner school, CNASH – The Affiliated Senior High School of National Chi Nan University https:\/\/www.pshs.ntct.edu.tw\/home<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, we visited CNASH, our partner school in Taichung, which provided a wonderful experience. Upon entering the school, we received a warm welcome with traditional Taiwanese dances and songs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we learned how to perform marching band routines with swords and flags. Following the welcome ceremony, we proceeded to the computer classroom where we created our own coasters using Canva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were also treated to traditional Taiwanese boba and taro rice noodle soup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Then came my favorite activity\u2014making Taiwanese pineapple cake. It was my first time attempting this, and it proved to be a delightful experience. My partner, whose mother is also from China like me, was very friendly, and we had a great time chatting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After making Taiwanese pineapple cake, we were treated to a mesmerizing performance of Taiwanese aboriginal dance. The powerful rhythms and energetic dancers left a strong impression, highlighting the importance of this dance form to their culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For dinner, we enjoyed a buffet-style meal at a mountaintop restaurant, featuring a mix of cultures. We savored Taiwanese tea, beef stews, as well as international favorites like pizza and pasta.
